Kaia Charles is a curator and cultural strategist with over a decade of experience delivering cross-disciplinary, socially engaged programmes across galleries, museums, and the public realm. Born in Dominica, West Indies, and having lived in Southern Africa, Kaia brings a global and deeply personal perspective to her work. Her expertise in Afro-Caribbean history and culture informs a curatorial practice rooted in identity, community, and storytelling.
Currently Lead Curator at NOW Gallery, she curates bold, inclusive exhibitions at the intersection of photography, digital culture, design, and identity. Kaia offers research-led curatorial services and access to a dynamic network of international artists, with a track record that includes site-specific commissions, major cultural festivals, and partnerships with institutions such as Historic England, Getty Archives, and London Design Festival. She is also the creator of Human Stories, a photographic series spotlighting urgent global narratives and underrepresented voices.
